In 1739 Persian Emperor Nadir attacked Delhi and returned to Persia loaded with treasure. When he was assassinated, a young general named Ahmad Shah Durrani took the Kohinoor diamond off Nadirs corpse and escaped back to Afghanistan. Now, we follow writer and explorer Tahir Shah in his quest is for the legendary treasure, allegedly hidden in one of the many Buddhist cave complexes in the country. Shah relies on a collection of notes from his grandfather, whose search was interrupted by the outbreak of WWII. He investigates the famous Timurid minarets of Heart and visits the oldest mosaic tile workshop in the world, as well as travelling with a legendary Hoopoe bird in a cage and provoking people in teahouses to tell him stories. Finally Shah comes up with a hypothesis that the treasure should be hidden in the Bamyan valley, where the Taliban blew up the great Buddha statues in 2001...

Sea of Death is the ultimate documentary film about a catastrophe many times greater than Titanic: the sinking of three German refugee ships at the end of World War II when 20 000 people lost their lives. It combines unique under water footage from the divers who discovered the Steuben in 2005, interviews with survivors who have kept their trauma a secret for sixty years and access to secret sources in Russia that case new light on the tragic event. Towards the end of the Second World War millions of German civilians fled from the onslaught of the Soviet Army. Women, children, hospitalized soldiers together they crammed the Polish ports, their last chance of being evacuated. The situation was chaotic, the ships were loaded way over capacity. Off the coast, Soviet submarines were lying in wait, ready to attack any ship that ventured out into the Baltic Sea. The under water footage of the three wrecks Wilhelm Gustloff, Steuben and Goya is starkingly graphic: personal belongings left in panic sixty years ago

Bitten by the 'Moonbug', photographer Steve Pyke set out on a journey across America in his search to meet and photograph the Apollo space pioneers. A journey in which he was to meet the adventurers, risk takers and dreamers who were behind one of the most historic endeavours of our time. From living rooms and moonscape deserts, to Cape Canaveral, Steve captures these men in frank, revealing portraits, while unravelling their very personal and divergent memories. With rare archive footage and an original score by Matt Johnson, Moonbug is both a photographic road trip and an exploration of how photographs become signposts for history.
