Players of Scrabble, Lexulous, Words with Friends, and other crossword-type games can improve their scores, compete more successfully, and increase their vocabulary by studying lists of words that are short (2- to 8- letters), contain one or more of the high point letters (J, Q, X, and Z), and contain a high percentage of vowels. Listening to the words spelled, pronounced, and defined while you're commuting, walking, jogging, swimming, or just relaxing is an easy to learn and remember them. Following each definition are the applicable rear extensions (e.g., -s, -es, -ed, -ing). The sources for the words in this podcast are Merriam-Webster's Official SCRABBLE Players Dictionary, 4th Edition, and Dictionary.com.
