An optimistic, solutions-based, non-preachy, big tent film that shows tackling climate change boosts the economy, increases national security and promotes health and a clean environment.
Carbon Nation
It's the summer of 1989 in New York's Lower East Side. Homeless people have turned Tompkins Square Park into a tent city. On a nearby corner lot deeper in Alphabet City, where punk became famous and Allen Ginsburg wrote much of his poetry, a bunch of people try to make a soup kitchen work. From filmmaker Lech Kowalski.

Gemma Furbank is a hot house and Techno music rising star! As a DJ, she is well-known for bringing truly sublime tracks together with flawless precision...
Gemma owned her first decks in 2003 - her beloved Technics 1210's. It wasn't until late 2008, she finally decided to master the decks, and learnt the art of DJing.
In October 2008 she invested in her Pioneer CDJ1000 mk3's.
She was an early starter on the clubbing scene, starting her clubbing in 1993 and discovering Cream in 1996. It was there that she first encountered Paul Oakenfold, resident DJ at that time! " Oakey blew my mind on a regular basis, and I was mesmorised by the whole atmosphere and swiftly became hooked on the whole scene!"
Gemma takes a lot of Inspiration from her favourite DJ's and styles, and is always inspired by DJ James Zabiela and his crazy skills!
She is always trying to up her game and learn new skills, to keep her mixes and sets exciting!
Gemma then entered the world of promoting and organised charity House night "Aural Pleasure" in February 09. All proceeds went to Breast Cancer Care.
The night gained support from local and International DJs such as David Dunne (Galaxy Radio/Hed Kandi) who played at the event, and DJs like K-Klass and Jon Fitz who offered promo support and prizes!
In Auguest 2009,Gemma organised the dance tent at "Mozfest" in Mossley Lancs. The event attracted over 8000 people of the course of the weekend.
Gemma's headline set, had the tent crammed to the rafters, with revelers climbing on top of each other and dancing on what ever they could stand on! This was to date, the best gig Gemma had experienced from the other side of the decks, and one she hopes to replicate each time she plays.
A very special guest VJ also jumped onboard. Fresh from Global Gathering, providing the back drop fro none other than Gemma's idol, Mr James Zabiela , and Carl Cox and people like Sander Kleinenberg- Mark Vity, of Ghost Visuals flew in from Ireland, just to provide some amazing visuals for the evenings set's!
More recently, Gemma has gained the ESSTIGE DJ OF THE MONTH crown for Aug 09.
Having noticed all the hard work, determination and passion she displays! Gemma is already receiving a lot of interest from promoters abroad for International gigs
! "I play a very eclectic mix, and basically think genres can be very stifling! If it sounds shit hot..it sounds shit hot! I play it! haha Genres create rules, and i love to break rules!"
She loves Prog house/Prog Breaks/House/Tech-House/Minimal Tech/Techno/Electro - she likes to call it 'Eclectronic music'!

"Top girl, top dj and all round nice gal! A real original sound in your sets of which i have heard 3 now and been mightly impressed each & everytime, big things ahead i dare say!!! ;-)"
International DJ/Prducer Petrae Foy (One of Carl Cox's Fav DJs), recently was so impressed with how long Gemma had been mixing, and how much potential she had, that he came round to her house for a one on one session. To show her some amazing tricks, and help her take it to another level.
November 09 is shaping up to be a very exciting month.
Gemma will be hitting the studio, with good friend, and amazing DJ talent, Steff Smith. They will be working alongside a very talented producer Mindform/PJC Project, to create and release their first of many Tech House/Techno tracks together!
Both the girl's will also, be embarking on their very first B2B set's, at the world famous Sankeys, Manchester!
The first date, they will be doing an awesome 2 hour set, sharing the bill with the amazing DAVE SPOON & FUNKAGENDA!
The 2nd date, will be on Boxing day..with an absolute legend headlining, ROGER SANCHEZ!
Gemma is just as likely to be seen in front of the deck's as behind them. She's still an avid clubber, and love's to get in the thick of it, when da

We'll raise up our tent in any town that will have us...." declares the new studio album by San Francisco's Tea Leaf Green. Produced by David Lowery (Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven, Counting Crows), the album presents eleven, well-crafted songs that tempt the listener to set off on the archetypal American adventure.
In times past, you could run away and join the circus or ride the freight trains, and Tea Leaf Green offers the same seductive pull to today's kids. Sharing some of the style and substance of musical contemporaries My Morning Jacket, Wolfmother, and the Raconteurs, Tea Leaf Green conjures the spirit of bands like '70s Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and The Grateful Dead, taking classic sounds and giving them a present-day polish. Tea Leaf Green reminds us at every turn just how alluring rock 'n' roll can be.
Tea Leaf Green consistently delivers mind bending live performances to their loyal and ever-growing fan base. Nightly, the band explores the depths of their prodigious songbook, taking everyone along for an exhilarating ride.
In a few short years, these road warriors have built a strong following, consistently filling venues across the country and becoming a warmly received, go-to band on the festival circuit with stand-out performances at Bonnaroo, Wakarusa, 10K Lakes, and The Echo Project, among others. The band's chops earned the respect of their contemporaries and they have shared the stage with The Dave Matthews Band, Trey Anastasio, Gov't Mule, Bruce Hornsby, John Popper, Bob Weir, Sean Lennon and many others. Experience Tea Leaf Green for yourself...and enjoy the journey.

San Francisco-based band Tea Leaf Green got their start in the relationship formed between guitarist Josh Clark and drummer Scott Rager, who played in a high-school band together in Arcadia, CA. After graduation, Rager enrolled at San Francisco State College, where he met bassist Ben Chambers. When Clark moved to San Francisco, the three began playing together as a trio. Their first paying gig was attended by Trevor Garrod, a singer/songwriter and keyboard player who had moved to San Francisco looking for other musicians to play with. Garrod met the three others, and soon they were playing together as a quartet. They built a following in Northern California and self-released the albums Tea Leaf Green, Midnight on the Reservoir (2001), Live at Slim's, San Francisco CA (2003), Living in Between (2004), and Live at the Independent (2004).
They issued their first national release, Taught to Be Proud, in 2005 and within a year they were opening for Gov't Mule, Trey Anastasio, Dave Matthews Band and a host of other lauded musicians. In 2007, longtime bass player Ben Chambers left the band and was replaced by Reed Mathis, formerly of Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey. Mathis's stylistic versatility on bass proved to be the perfect fit for the band. In 2008, Tea Leaf Green went on to re-release their first three studio albums as the triple-CD compilation entitled Seeds. Later that year the band followed up with their next studio album Raise Up the Tent.
In June 2010 Tea Leaf Green will release Looking West, their first studio album in 2 years. The release is a compilation of road-tested, fan favorite songs that the band has never recorded in the studio. The album marks a new chapter for Tea Leaf Green and represents the artistic and individual growth of the band since their formation more than a decade ago.
