Angel Azul is a documentary film that tells the story of one artists inspiring attempt to draw attention to the perilous situation coral reefs currently face worldwide. Jason DeCaires Taylor is an eco-sculptor who casts cement statues from live human models and installs them on the ocean floor to create an artificial coral reef. The story follows the making of an angel, a symbol of hope, with wings made from live fan coral. She will reside in an underwater museum alongside 400 of Jasons statues located off the coast of Cancun in the National Marine Park, El Museo Subacuatico De Arte (MUSA). Over time the statues grow coral, provide habitat for marine life and a diversion for tourists offering the natural reefs a reprieve from heavy usage. The story takes a turn when the coral that had been growing on the statues starts to die and issues related to waste water pollution and rising sea temperatures become evident. Angel Azul

The Platform for Urban Investigation (PUI) is an open environment collaboration involving architects, choreographers, dancers, designers, artists, educators, curators and all other cultural producers. It's aim is to stimulate fresh ways of looking at urban living and discover alternative solutions for cultural development. The platform takes up residence in cities around the world for four weeks at a time working with locally and remotely connected participants and produces new cross-disciplinary output. The Platform for Urban Investigation Is currently having a residency in Mexico, where it will take the shape of MAPS (Map Applied Psycho-geographical Systems). These projects are (re-) interpretations of Mexico City and the way we live; experience our daily routines, conflicts and challenges, as well as how we navigate the incredible urban landscape. Results of the work will be shown in an exhibition in the Museo Ciudad de Mexico in February / March 2008. This podcast represents the first brainstormsessions of the project. PUI Podcast
The sculpture collections of the Museo Nacional del Prado and of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden possess two of the most distinguished antique collections outside of Italy. Due to the fact that Augustus the Strong and the Spanish King Philip V acquired entire collections of antiquities for their royal residences, both are similar in the diversity of their holdings and incorporate major works of classical sculpture._The outstanding holdings of both museums permit a broad presentation of ancient key works from the Classic period to the Late Classic Period of Roman art. This exhibition is a prime example for the benefits of international museum cooperation. We discover interactions of the collections histories, publish new research cooperatively and are able to elate the audiences in two locations for exceptional exhibitions.
