The plan goes horribly wrong and in a fire fight between Samantha and Joe, and the two killers, Joe is killed when Samantha is unable to make herself fire her weapon at the two serial killers. Suitable for Murder
Independent movies
Reality filmmaking can be murder. Just ask Vincent King (Sean Kanan) and his wife Mary Shelley (Juliet Landau), two passionate horror fans determined to create the ultimate slasher movie with the unwitting help of a cast to die for. Led by deceptively bookish biology major Emily (Danica McKellar), a group of horny college students visits the Kings' remote island to study the local flora and fauna, unaware that they're about to end up on the cutting room floor - literally! - as they are gruesomely dispatched in the style of both classic and contemporary shockers. Who will survive the Kings' insane homage to horror? Anyway you slice it, Hack! will keep you guessing and gasping right until the credits and/or heads roll.
Hack
When Vincent King and his wife Mary Shelly agree to host a group of biology students on their remote tropical island it affords them with the opportunity to make the horror movie of their dreams. Quickly the students are hunted and murdered in the style of the classic horror films all while being filmed by Mary and Vincent from the dark shadows. As the students vanish one by bloody one, they stumble across a mystery that reveals they are the stars of a reality horror film and theyre all on the chopping block. Not wanting to settle for death as their only way off the island, the students set out to rewrite the ending of this terrifying snuff film with comedic results. Hack pays homage to the obscure horror classics like Nightmare Castle, Mondo Cane , Porcile and contemporary shockers like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hellraiser and Saw. The twists and turns will have you asking Whos next?
Hack
It is 1999 and Northern lreland is an independent state. Behind the scenes old hatreds continue to fester, but something is different. For the first time in decades, the people are united. Prime ministerial candidate Michael Brinn is poised for a landslide victory on the 'peace in our time' ticket. And everyone believes in him. Everyone, that is, except Dan Starkey, a hard-drinking, 30-something hack who refuses to swallow the spiel. However, when Starkey is caught by his wife in the arms of a girl he hardly knows, he discovers that he and Brinn are destined to become more than casual acquaintances. The girl, Margaret McGarry, is the daughter of Brinn's right-hand man. And within hours of seducing Starkey, she has been shot dead in a bed still warm from their love-making. Before Margaret, Starkey had always made it a point of principle to keep out of the political fray, preferring instead to snipe at both sides from the safety of his weekly newspaper column. Now his quest to find her killers, rescue his floundering marriage and save his country, leads him directly to its rotten heart.
