We just formed this band over a year ago and are looking for more gigs around New York City playing cover songs. We had a recurring gig at a Lounge in East New York and have travelled to Costa Rica last year in October/2008 for Carnival and recently to L.A., California for this past memorial weekend May/2008. Most of the musicians of Sounds of Passion have known each other and have played together in the past for 20 years and more, also with other popular bands, teen groups, gospel groups performing at various venues, events, weddings, etc. We have experience performing cover songs from different genres of music: Reggae/Soca/Dancehall to Bachata/Salsa/Latin Ballads, from Disco to R&B Love Ballads and both classic oldies to contemporary. Sounds of Passion is an international group that add their own special flavor of Reggae/R&B/Latin consisting of upbeat tunes that get everyone dancing to soft sweet love ballads for the romantics. There is one sweet song here that is an original by Sounds Of Passion.

The Education Abroad Program (EAP) is the distinguished international program of the University of California, providing academic exchanges and integrating international curricula and learning opportunities into the university experience. EAP shares video and audio clips, announcements, discussions, and interviews on a wide range of subjects from its faculty, alumni, and distinguished visitors. These webcasts are intended to provide a window into life and learning on EAP. Watch and listen online or download to your iPod or mp3 player and go! New posts are added periodically, profiling the work of our students and faculty and announcing upcoming EAP events. Recent highlights include short interviews with UC students at Bilkent University, a mini-documentary by Rob Sturtz tracking his EAP friends' experiences at Beijing Normal University and a look at independent research projects in Costa Rica. With 150 universities in 35 countries, EAP has a program for every UC student. For more information about the University of California Education Abroad Program, visit us at http://eap.ucop.edu/.
